Privacy Policy

Digital Trust Systems LLC respects your privacy. This policy explains, in plain English, what information we collect when you use our website, why we collect it, how we use it, and the rights you have over it — including specific rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA).

This website ("Site") is operated by Digital Trust Systems LLC("Digital Trust Systems," "we," "us," or "our"), a limited liability company organized in the United States. 2. The information we collect

We collect only what we need to operate the Site responsibly. That includes:

  • Information you give us directly, such as your name, email address, and message content when you contact us, subscribe to a newsletter, or submit a privacy request.
  • Automatically collected technical information, such as your IP address (in truncated form where possible), browser type, device type, referring URL, pages viewed, and approximate location derived from IP. This is gathered through standard server logs and privacy-respecting analytics.
  • Cookies and similar technologies, as described in our Cookie Policy. Where required by law, we ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU/UK). If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

3. How we use your information

  • Legitimate interests — for example, securing the Site against abuse and operating basic, privacy-respecting analytics. We balance these interests against your rights and freedoms.

5. Your rights under GDPR

If GDPR applies to you, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

6. Your rights under California law (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act:

  • Right to know what categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, the purposes, and any third parties we have shared it with in the past 12 months.
  • Right to delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions.
  • Right to correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information.
  • Right to limit use of sensitive personal information.
  • Right to non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights.

We do not sell your personal information for money.Some online analytics and advertising cookies may meet the broad CPRA definition of "sharing," and where they do, we honor opt-outs through the Global Privacy Control browser signal as well as a clear opt-out link in our cookie banner. To make a verifiable consumer request, email privacy@digitaltrustsystem.comwith the subject line "California Privacy Request." You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.

7. How we share information

We share personal information only with service providers that help us operate the Site — for example, web hosting, email delivery, and analytics — and only under written contracts that limit how they may use the data. We may also disclose information when legally required, to enforce our policies, or to protect rights, safety, and property.

We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties for their independent marketing purposes.

8. International transfers

We are based in the United States, and your information may be processed in the U.S. For transfers from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and other lawful transfer mechanisms.

9. How long we keep your information

We retain personal information only for as long as needed to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Server logs are kept for a maximum of 90 days. Newsletter records are kept until you unsubscribe. Contact-form messages are kept for up to 24 months and then deleted.

10. How we protect your information

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including TLS encryption in transit, limited internal access on a need-to-know basis, and routine security review of our service providers. No system on the public internet can be guaranteed 100% secure, but we take this responsibility seriously.

11. Third-party links

Our Site contains links to other websites we don't control, including some affiliate links (see our Earnings Disclaimer). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, which we encourage you to read.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where the changes are material, provide a more prominent notice. Your continued use of the Site after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
